This is an opportunity with Big Dog Construction Services, a fast-growing Coconut Creek based commercial and residential general contractor with a great reputation.

The Construction Administrative Assistant is an ENTRY LEVEL POSITION. This person will serve as an integral member of the project team, responsible for supporting our residential and commercial construction projects of varying size and complexity. Utilization of Procore construction management software will be an important aspect of this position.

Job Description

  • Provide administrative support to the project teams to include the Project Manager, Project Coordinator, Project Engineer, and Superintendent.
  • Prepare, Log & Track permit applications from inception to issuance with the permit expeditor (check permit status on permits submitted, log and track permit issues, application issues, etc.)
  • Request, Log & Track Certificates of Insurance & Notices to Owner by project
  • Responsible for reviewing own work to ensure accuracy, thoroughness, and neatness.
  • Maintain project documents within the Procore project management software and project files.
  • Ability to access and perform routine functions on the Internet.
  • Other administrative and general office duties as needed.

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and proactively follow through on issues in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment with limited supervision.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with co-workers and clients (via phone, email and in-person).
  • Must have the ability to comply with applicable department policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Prefer experience with Procore.
  • Possess good analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Possess self-discipline with the ability to effectively prioritize.
  • Strong internal office and field communication skills.
  • Reliable and professional demeanor.
