Our nationally accredited Bachelor of Science in Construction Management equips students with the knowledge and skills needed for a successful career in construction management.
Accredited by the American Council for Construction Education, the program integrates project management, engineering, architecture and business principles. Students learn essential skills like cost estimating, project scheduling, safety, quality management and construction materials and methods. The program offers hands-on learning through internships and site visits and includes electives in advanced topics like artificial intelligence and robotics.
The BS in Construction Management prepares graduates for diverse roles within the industry, including project manager, superintendent, cost estimator or scheduler, across sectors such as land development, home building, public works, industrial, commercial, marine and heavy highway construction.

Program Requirements
Any degree-seeking student admitted to FIU in good academic standing may declare a major in construction management.
To earn a BS in Construction Management, students must complete 120 credits, a minimum of 32 lower-division credit hours, including 11 credit hours that satisfy the University Core Curriculum and 60 upper-division credit hours.

BS/MS in Construction Management Pathway
Students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction management who have completed 75 credits and have a GPA of 3.2 or higher may apply for the combined BS/MS pathway. They must have completed all lower-division courses and meet graduate admission requirements, submitting their application before the last 30 credits of their bachelor’s program.
Interested students should speak with an undergraduate advisor to determine their eligibility and meet with the graduate program director before applying.
