Office Assistant Construction Company (Miami) 

Compensation to be discussed based on experience

Part-time to Full-time

Job Description: Seeking an attentive and dependable Office Assistant for a growing construction company. Part time to full time position with room to grow.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • General office duties such as answering the phone, communicating with vendors, subcontractors and clients via phone and email; sending faxes, making copies, filing documents, etc.
  • Estimating future projects
  • Billing, invoicing, and payment processing of current projects
  • Assist with city permitting processing and inspection scheduling
  • Run routine Job Cost reports for project completion
  • Create and maintain an electronic filing system
  • Visit construction sites and run other errands as needed
  • Maintain office space clean and organized
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Excellent organizational, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Effective time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Above average customer service skills and positive attitude
  • Must be able to follow specific orders, work independently and work under short deadlines
  • Candidate must be willing to learn

Requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Minimum High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience or current upper-level student preferred (Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture)
  • Must be able to work mornings Monday-Friday for 30-40 hours a week
  • Have his/her own reliable transportation
  • Bilingual (Spanish)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks preferred but not required
