Racardo is an undergraduate student in construction management graduating in Fall 2021. He currently serves as one of two construction management tutors for the Center of Diversity and Student Success. He strives to improve the tutees’ understanding of the knowledge and improvement within the class. He volunteers at the annual She Builds Summer Camp and is a former Board Member of Panther Community Action Board during 2020-2021 where he facilitated 6 different community outreach events at FIU and reviewed mini grants. Additionally, he is a peer mentor for incoming first-year students at FIU where he provides resources, knowledge, and advice on the advancement of their student and professional life. He volunteered 160 hours at Feeding South Florida during the start of the pandemic. This included food distribution sites within Miami-Dade, Broward, and West Palm Beach counties. He also visited 10 different middle and high schools within the South Florida area representing the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals speaking on the various opportunities with the aviation field that includes pilots, aerospace engineers, air traffic control, and mechanics. All these experiences within FIU and the community gave him leadership skills and ethics that will ensure his success within the construction industry.
