Job Title: Project Manager

Job Description: Manage project deliveries and coordinate cable deliveries along with any detail engineering questions or developments with the project.

PROJECT ENGINEER / COORDINATOR / DRAFTER / ESTIMATOR

Well established and growing Specialty Construction Supplier is looking to fill various open positions. We are seeking entry level engineers, coordinators and detailers to manage and perform various duties on active and ongoing projects as well as   estimators for quantity take-offs and bid buildups for new construction projects and restoration / repair of post-tensioned concrete structures.  Willing to train highly motivated individuals; Successful candidates will work out of our main office in Miami, FL to analyze plans and other documentation to prepare and oversee time, cost, materials, service and labor for projects such as high rise condominiums, apartment buildings, hotels, office buildings, multi-family residential buildings and parking garages. These are permanent full time career positions with opportunity for upward advancement.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

–          Associates degree

–          Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field a plus. Relative experience in lieu of degree will be considered, or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

–          Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering a plus, Structural Engineering experience preferred

–          Experience in concrete reinforcing systems a plus

–          2+ years related experience a plus

–          Experience with concrete structures including post-tensioning, Shear rails and Barrier Cable a plus

–          To provide complete and accurate material take-offs from Architectural and Structural Design documents.

–          Excellent computer and Strong math skills

–          Proficiency with Auto CAD is required

–          Understands how to efficiently download plans for FTP sites and online plan rooms

–          Ability to understand building plan layouts

–          Capable of calculating and estimating in a timely manner

–          PC proficient and competency in Microsoft applications including word, excel and outlook

–          Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

–          Must be able to effective apply project management and engineering principles and methodologies in seeking solutions to project problems

–          Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic and fast paced environment.

–          Ability to organize priorities and multi-task effectively.

–          Desire to learn and achieve continuous improvement in a team environment.

–          Proactive can-do attitude and problem-solving mindset.

–          Bi-lingual (English / Spanish) a plus

–          Strong organizational and reporting skills

–          Comfortable working alone or with others as a team

–          Must have positive attitude and be a fast learner

–          Excellent interpersonal skills and leadership competency

–          Strong analytical and problem solving skills

–          Must have good organization skills, time management skills and the ability to communicate clearly with the staff and customers.

–          Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple priorities

–          Entry level ok, can train

–          Performs all other duties as required
