Full Job Description: ENTRY LEVEL PROJECT ESTIMATOR
The Estimator will be responsible for generating takeoffs and estimates for Doors, Frames, Door Hardware, Bathroom Accessories, Baseboard & Running Trim, Mirrors, Shower Enclosures, Ventilated Wire Shelving, and Postal Specialties for construction projects from individual residential renovations to medium/high-rise buildings to multiple building developments. The Estimator is responsible to follow up with leads that may come from various sources, such us invitations to bid, internet leads, repeat clients, and prospective clients. The Estimator with work closely with preconstruction teams and project managers of commercial, industrial, institutional, and government entities to develop estimates for our services and products. The Estimator is ultimately responsible for the individual job budgeting profitability forecast. The Estimator will also assist our Project Managers during the contracting phase of new projects with specification submittals and material schedules.
Qualifications:
Associates Degree (Preferred)
Construction Estimating Experience: 1 year
Equivalent College/University Courses in lieu of experience.
Must be familiar with takeoff software, Microsoft Office 365, and Quickbooks or Sage software.
Must be skilled with computers and other technological office equipment.
Must be familiar with plan reading.
Must be able to prepare estimates in a timely fashion and meet customer deadlines.
Must be able to review proposals for price accuracy, item counts, labor costs, misspellings, and
address verification.
