Leola Construction has an immediate opening for a new team member to join our Estimating Department. Leola specializes in providing foundation, masonry, and rough carpentry services for residential production home builders that operate in and around the west coast and central Florida. The selected candidate will work out of our Riverview, FL office and will be joining a high functioning team with growth potential.
Position Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assisting the lead or senior estimator in calculating the cost of labor or materials that is required for a construction project or any other type of manufacturing project.
- Utilize our estimating software (Planswift) to generate material quantity takeoffs
- Source and review necessary construction documents and consult with professionals to ensure highest quality of work
- Participate in daily team strategy and workload meetings and weekly company goal meetings
- Occasionally visit job sites to work with our Field Team to achieve optimal assemblies and results
- Learn and work with proprietary scheduling and communicative software
- Identify, strategize, and join team members to climb metaphorical mountains, professionally and personally
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, but not required – Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain Management
- Working knowledge of residential construction, business process, and software systems preferred
- Ability to multitask which requires strong prioritization and organizational skills
- Incorporate a balance of urgency and quality into all tasks and directives
- Excellent verbal, written, and technical communication skills
- Natural process improvement-oriented mindset
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
