The FIU Department of Construction Management waves a bittersweet goodbye to yet another graduating class. Saturday, December 14th, 2019, was an eventful day to say the least as we were lucky enough to have students receiver their welcome into the profession at the Fall 2019 Induction into the Profession Ceremony. Meanwhile, another group of students was celebrating their graduation from our Construction Trades Program.
Both ceremonies were filled with emotion, excitement, and inspiration that came from very special guests who all hold FIU dearly in their hearts. Featured in the Fall 2019 Induction into the Profession Ceremony, was guest speaker, Mr. Jose R. Cortes, VP of Business Development in Skanska USA Building Inc.
Attending the Construction Trades graduation was Mr. Pedro Portela, and Mr. Erick Valderrama. Both FIU alums that shared their stories of perseverance and celebrated their roots in the Panther family.
